About

The United Nations estimate that one in three women worldwide will be raped or beaten in their lifetime. That’s one billion people. At 1pm on Sunday 14th February 2021, we will be gathering online for a one hour flashmob-style festival of music, dance, drama and poetry to demand an end to violence against women and girls. This will be the 9th Norwich Rising, part of the global One Billion Rising campaign.

You can book tickets to Online Norwich Rising 2021 here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/norwich-rising-2021-online-tickets-138348176119

  3. Hello and well done Norwich. I and some members of the Multicultural Women’s Group of Bury St Edmunds are going to do our best to be there on 14th. Do we just turn up? Do we have to register or do anything to participate? Thanks! Sylvana

    • Hi Sylvana, just come! The Forum is in the centre of the city – you can find a link to directions on the Contact Us page. There is parking at the Forum and a cafe where we will all chill out afterwards. Are you practising the dance?!

      • At least a couple of us are definitely coming! I’ve been looking on-line to try and get T-shirts for the day, but have left it too late. Do you know if anyone will be selling them there? Shall we just wear red and black maybe? Thanks!
